Q: Why do Marantz components have 2 prong power recepticles ?

-Mark

A: Since the third prong on a 3-prong plug goes to safety ground, Marantz, on the component you’re thinking of, should either be using a non-metallic case or they feel there is no possibility of internal high voltage or current components coming in contact with the casework.

As always, we hope that helps.
