Exclusive to our Substack subscribers, we host a weekly Q&A every Monday. Our team of veteran writers, reviewers, and editors hand select a few to answer every Friday. Perhaps you’re having trouble with a specific amplifier, or desire a deeper understanding of transmission line speakers, from the general to the specific, post your questions here and come back on Friday to see them answered!
I believe similar questions may have been addressed in the past and , if so , I apologize for the repetition .
I have 17 components in a custom built equipment cabinet . There are 8 , hospital grade , 20 amp , dedicated outlets along the cabinet's base and side . 4 outlets with Audience Adept power conditioners are used fro power two pair of MBL 9008A's mono amps each with two 15 amp AC lines .
My question concerns how best to power my other components .
I have a Stromtank S2000 battery which is connected directly to one of the 20 amp lines .
The designated " digital " AC out on the Stromtank is used to power a Burmester power
conditioner and this , in turn , powers a dCS Vivaldi " stack " and an Aurender W20SE . The Stromtank 's analogue AC out powers a number of Richard Gray power conditions arranged in a " star " configuration that , in turn ,powers the remaining components and peripheral equipment , e.g. , ethernet switch , modem , etc.
There seem to be many , often conflicting , approaches to power conditioning , in general , and opinions on my approach , in particular . What do you think ?
