This is an interesting question that goes well beyond audio . During Trump's first term something in excess of 80% of the tariffs he imposed were absorbed by the manufacturers of the products on which those tariffs were imposed . I believe this will happen again based on a basic economic principle - - supply and demand are brought into balance by price . China , in particular , can not afford to have U.S. demand decrease because of higher prices . Their astronomically high rate of youth unemployment would exacerbate political discontent and that is something the government can not abide . The Chinese , and many other countries dependent on U.S. demand ,i.e. , pretty much every country in the world , will absorb higher tariffs . I don't expect to see tariffs passed on to U.S. consumers as a "national sales tax " - - at least not to any meaningful extent - - and therefore I don't anticipate U.S. manufacturers to benefit from a price advantage versus their foreign competitors . We ,however , may see price increases , perhaps substantial increases at the top of the audio food chain for those products with the ability to pass on tariffs to U.S. customers ., e.g. , MBL X-tremes , dCS Varese , etc. Please remember I am just an audio guy so what do I know .
If tariffs are placed on China, what companies stand to benefit? Schiit Audio here in the USA ?
Could this be the this be the nail in the coffin for some brands manufactured there ?

Thanks for your thoughtful kind reply
i'm considering to change my complete Setup : As is Setup is Lyngdorf TDAI2175 + SDA2400, WIIM ultra and KEF R700
I'm quite deasppointed by the sound result in my very strange L shaped 100m2 room. especially a low volume and with rock and indie.
I've a 5000-1000euros budget and i'm considering NAD M33 + Amphion argon 7LS, but not yet fully convinced.
could you help me because unfortunatelly i wont be able to listeng botch together. do you have alternative to suggest.
my habbits are Rock/indie, Jazz, not at high volume at all, but more at moderate and lower volume (WAF ;)).
i can consider Bookshelf speakers
Thank you
Marc
