I'm using Parasound JC3+ phono pickup in my system and want to try different cartridge loading impedances. My Hana Umami Blue specs say 80 ohms and higher with no upper limit. My problem is getting to the back of the Parasound to adjust the settings. With everything inside a Salamander console it is extremely hard and time consuming to turn it around to access the unit. My proposed solution was to get longer interconnects between the TT and the Parasound so I could just pull it out and turn it around to get to it from the front. A friend has told me this is not the thing to do. Says that the longer interconnects will be detrimental to the sound. Is he correct?
